How You Can Help
Contact The Josie Foundation

The Josie Foundation was established in memory of Josephine Marie Herzon, who died in July 2005 at the age of 5-1/2 due to a rare form of childhood brain cancer. We are dedicated to finding a cure for the specific type of cancer that took Josie and to providing recreation, comfort, and emotional support to children facing life-threatening illnesses. We raise funds through community activities and distribute these funds to organizations that further our cause.

To date (December 2024), we have distributed $109,375 in research grants and more than 10,000 toys to local children's hospitals and hospice programs. We have also supported children's wish-granting organizations with toys, hand-made blankets, and more than $7,000 of grants.

December 2024
Nineteenth Annual Toy Drive
The Holidays are just around the corner, and The Josie Foundation is holding its 19th Annual Toy Drive. We've collected thousands of toys over the years and distributed them to Children's Hospital of St. Louis, Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, and other organizations. Please join us in making this year another great success! Your donations will make a tremendous difference in the lives of many children and their families, and your support is truly appreciated.
